چکیده
Abstract Osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee (gonarthrosis) is a degenerative rheumatic disease, which most common disease. Numerous factors, such as mechanical, enzymatic, and biological, are responsible for development this complex, multifactorial The connection between inflammation OA being investigated more more. Cytokines thought to be one main causes disturbances in normal cartilage metabolism. This study, designed prospective cohort study included 60 patients with OA. examinees were recruited from total population OA, hospitalized or treated outpatients at Department Physical Medicine Rehabilitation, University Clinical Centre Kragujevac. After consent was obtained, anamnestic data collected, blood samples taken functional testing done together anthropometric measurements. values following cytokines determined sample: IL-6, TNF-α, IL-10, IL-17. average age 69.10±9.06 years, whom females (78,3%). Both IL-6 TNF-α correlated positively WOMAC scores. index subscales showed different association cytokines. In our studies level cytocines serum pacients show not correlation radiographic image. present demonstrated than concentrations proinflammatory (TNF-α IL-6) can scores patients. results indicate that may affect joint function

Objectives: Patients suffering from mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis may be treated with unloader knee orthoses or laterally wedged insoles. The aim of this study was to identify and compare the effects of two orthoses in these patients. Methods: 56 patients with medial compartment knee OA were evaluated when wearing an unloader knee orthosis and insoles with a 6° lateral wedge which wer...
